Ingredients

  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ small box of raspberry Jell-O
  • 3/8 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon extract
  • 2 eggs, separated

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven 300°F.
  2. Grease and flour the rings.

  4. Whip the egg whites with 1/8 cup sugar till stiff.
  5. Mix the rest of the sugar, flour, baking powder, and Jell-O in one bowl.
  6. Mix the milk, oil, and extract in another.
  7. Beat the wet into the dry until smooth. Beat in the yolks one at a time.
  8. Fold the whites into the batter.
  9. Pour half the batter into each ring on a greased baking sheet.
  10. Bake at 300 degrees F for about 20-30 minutes till set.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces softened unsalted butter
  • 4 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Beat together the butter and cheese.
  2. Add the sugar and beat till smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the vanilla.

  1. When cakes are done, cool and remove from rings.
  2. Place one upside down on the other using frosting to bond them; frost and decorate to finish.
